Eligibility for Free Stay in the Bahamas for Military
The Caesars Rewards Salute Card is very inclusive. Eligible groups include:
- Active Duty, Guard, and Reserve members
- Veterans
- Military spouses
If you are a Gold Star Family , I would give Caesars a call to see if you are eligible. It isn’t included on their website but I would assume at least Gold Star Spouses would qualify. You must be of legal age to gamble to get a Salute card.
How to Get the Caesars Salute Card
There are two steps to getting your Salute card:
- Join Caesars Rewards: You can join the free rewards program online or in person at any of their Caesars locations.
2. Verify your status in person at a Caesars location in the U.S.
The second step requires you to go in person to any of these Caesars locations so they can verify your eligible. You cannot do this online or in the Bahamas at the time of your stay. You must go in person before you’re able to book your stay. Not living near a location can be so disappointing. We will be taking a detour on an upcoming trip to get the Salute card since we don’t live close either. It’ll be worth it for a free military stay in the Bahamas.
What to bring for verification:
When you go in person to get your Salute card you will need to bring one of the following:
- U.S. Military ID
- DD214
- Veterans card
- Spouse’s military ID

How to Book Your Free Stay in the Bahamas for Military
The resort is located near the Capitol of the Bahamas Nassau. The airport code is NAS. Most major cities offer direct flights to the island. The hotel does not have a free shuttle so you will need to arrange transportation to and from the resort. Temperatures range from high 70s to 90s with a dry and a wet season. The dry season is cooler and lasts from December to May. The wet season tends to be hot but little rain from June to November. The Fine Print on the Free Bahamas Stay
The free hotel nights are limited to two guests per room. If you want to bring another guest over the age of 12, there is a $50 fee per person per night. The maximum occupancy is 4 adults and 1 child under 4. Guests must show 4 hours of rated casino play in order to receive complimentary offer. They track your time using a players card. The penny slots are the cheapest way to “gamble” for 4 hours. There are varying reports if this is actually tracked or not. Be sure to read your confirmation email to see if it is a requirement for your stay. Cancellations must be made at least 7 days in advanced to avoid fees.
Hotel Status Matching with Platinum
Status at hotels can get you discounts and great perks like early check-in or late check out. Once you have Platinum status from the Salute card, you can have your status “matched” to other hotels to enjoy status there as well. The good news is you can match your status at Wyndham hotels. Once you match your status you will get discounts and perks at their hotels too. The bad news is that if you have status with Marriott Bonvoy, you cannot use your perks or earn points during your free stay. Marriott and Atlantis have a partnership. They don’t let you enjoy benefits from Marriott & Caesars at the same time.
