How I USE it

Travel portals are just one way to redeem your points. You will find that transfer partners help you to get more value from your points. Each of the four banks that waive fees for Active Duty Military Families are partners with different Airlines & Hotels. 

You will find that the additional benefits of cards follow these same partnerships. For example, American Express is partners with Hilton & Marriott Hotels. The Platinum card offers automatic status with each of these hotel brands. They do not offer status to IHG or Hyatt since they aren't partners.
